I have had 2 treatments and wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend Dr. Wakeham to friends or family. My sister traveled from B.C. to have a "Quicklift" done and loves her new face. Dr. Wakeham reminds me of an artist. The day after surgery, when taking off the dressing, it's like unveiling his masterpiece. Stepping back and looking at his work with a proud look on his face. I have been a patient of Dr. Wakeham and Shelley for about five years. I would never go to anyone else for any facial surgery. They have an awesome clinic and I have always been more than happy with the results of any procedure. They go above and beyond to look after their clients. They treat you like family and are always very kind and friendly and make you feel so comfortable. They are never rushed or too busy to take care of all your concerns. Dr. Wakeham and Shelley are just wonderful people. Because they are, they also have a wonderful staff of people working with them. They all, more than go the extra mile. My experience with Dr. Wakeham was 100% awesome. Not only is he meticulous in his work - he takes pride in his work - a rare find these days. Along with that, he took care of me like I was one of his family, including calling me at home to check on my recovery after surgery. My feeling is he expects no less than perfection in himself. This professionalism and care is mirrored in the treatment I received from his entire staff. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Dr. Wakeham. He is a rare find at giving a patient the time and care they deserve, no 'hands on the door knob treatment' in his office!
When I went in for my consultation regarding my face I was unsure as to what to have done. Shelley and Dr. Wakeham were so helpful to me and it was suggested that a "Quicklift" procedure would work for me. I would not need a full facelift. I was thrilled to hear this news. My face needed a lift! The lower part of my face was tired, it had aged and I wanted to turn back the hands of time. It needed to be rejuvinated. The "Quicklift" was the answer. My face feels and looks refreshed and I must say I have taken some years off my face. I am just so pleased with the results.
I never thought I'd consider Botox or chemical peels, but over the years I've learned how good I feel...when I look good. Always scared of needles, I never considered Botox but once Dr. Wakeham educated me on the product, not to mention the tiny needles, I was excited about the improvements that could be made. Once my frown lines disappeared, I wanted to address the sun damage with other types of skin rejunenation procedures. A chemical peel left my face feeling fresh and new again and using Kine-C daily make my skin feel very youthful. I always look forward to my visits to the Institute of Facial Surgery.
I am very pleased with the results of my lower eyelid surgery. Having followed the 'doctors orders' for the pre-op and post-op, I suffered no swelling or bruising. The staff and the Institute are very professional, but at the same time they make you feel very comfortable and confident in their abilities. You have a caring team.
