The Institute of Facial Surgery is an accredited out-patient surgical facility located in northwest Calgary, approximately 5 minutes from the University of Calgary. Our facility can offer you the choice of having your procedure done with general anesthesia, intravenous sedation, oral sedation, or local anesthesia. We are accredited by the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Alberta Dental Association and College. This means that we meet the rigorous standards and guidelines for patient safety and care and infection prevention and control.
Dr. Wakeham is an experienced surgeon, specializing in facial cosmetic surgery and maxillofacial surgery. He completed a 4-year Maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma. He furthered his training with a Fellowship in Craniofacial surgery in Denmark. Through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, he completed a full Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic surgery.
